Debra Jacobson

Debra JacobsonDebra Jacobson (SNAG Treasurer) grew up in western New York where she graduated from B & S Business Institute in 1968, with a major in business administration. She then graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1972, BS major. Debra moved to Las Vegas in 1982, attended College of Southern Nevada, under Dr. Leary's teachings. She became a Master Gardener in 2006, specializing in native plants and trees. Debra is also a First Detector, Western Plant Diagnostic Network (WPDN) where she trains to identify invasive pests. She is on the Commemorative Beautification Commission (CBC) for the City of Henderson. In addition to SNAG projects she participates in around the valley, Debra also volunteers for the many master gardener projects around the city - especially those that have to do with native plants and/or trees. Debra retired from self-employment in a custom business after more than 30 years. She has grown crops in New York State and Colorado. In Nevada, she concentrates on native plants and trees.
